Big Wreck Unveil 'Ghosts,' Release New Single

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 8, 2014

Big Wreck's reunion has now turned into a full-blown second coming. Following 2012's Albatross — their first LP in more than a decade — the '90s CanCon faves have another new album on the way. Ghosts is due out on June 10 through Anthem/Warner.

Like Albatross, the new disc was helmed by the band's own Ian Thornley along with returning producers Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush) and Eric Ratz (Cancer Bats, Billy Talent). The results apparently showcase a more diverse sound than Big Wreck's usual work.

"The creative palette is a lot broader on this record, and sonically there's a lot more going on that I just haven't heard before," Thornley said in a statement. "This record has it all for me. We've cut out the things that just didn't feel right — there's none of that in there — every little noise, every little nuance adds something to the ether of each track and it all sounds exactly like what we wanted."

See the tracklist below. Title cut "Ghosts" is streaming over at Big Wreck's website. Its pensive melodies are anchored by slippery grooves, and those who are impressed can purchase it at iTunes.
