A photograph of Beyoncé taken for last year's September Vogue cover has been acquired by the Smithsonian Institution's National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C.
The photo in question sees Queen Bey in a dazzling gold dress and headpiece, leaning against a column decorated with flowers.
It was taken by photographer Tyler Mitchell, who became the first African-American to shoot a Vogue cover.
"A year ago today we broke the flood gates open. Since then it was important to spend the whole year running through them making sure every piece of the gate was knocked down," Mitchell wrote on Instagram. "And now I'm glad to share this picture is being acquired into the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery's permanent collection."

Another photo of Beyoncé is currently hanging in the National Portrait Gallery, but it will only stick around until the "20th Century Americans" exhibit wraps up at the end of the year.
