Published May 04, 2017After two editions in Toronto, Bestival will not be returning to the city this summer. Event organizers made the announcement Thursday (May 4), though it came with little if any reason.
Breaking the news, a spokesperson for the festival said, "We can confirm that Bestival, which has taken place on the second weekend of June for the last two years, will not be returning to Toronto in 2017. We are aiming to return in the future."
As an offshoot of the UK event of the same name, Bestival first came to Toronto in 2015, with its first edition taking place on Toronto Island. In 2016, it then moved to Woodbine Park.
In those two years, acts such as the Cure, Grimes, Nas, and Florence + the Machine played the event.
