In a move that's sure to get Marnie Stern talking trash, indie rock power couple Bethany Cosentino and Nathan Williams are taking their bands, Best Coast and Wavves, respectively, on tour together.
A report from Spin explains that the two groups, who up to this point have never gone on an extended North American tour together, are taking it to the clubs early next year. This includes Canadian stops in Vancouver, Victoria, Montreal and Toronto.
"We're both in summery California bands and I think by doing the tour in winter, we're bringing summer to places where it's fucking freezing," Cosentino told Spin. "We've been talking about what we want the vibe to be -- we want it to be a beach-themed sort of thing -- but we're still brainstorming."
While the Best Coast singer will likely be crooning her guy-crazy pop jams to boyfriend Williams, there's a good chance the two will grace the stage together. After all, as evidenced by their collaborative Christmas tune, "Got Something For You", the pair definitely have some chemistry going on between them.
Williams also hinted that there might be some sweet limited swag to go along with the trip. Nothing has been announced yet, but it could be as cool as those Wavves weed grinders from a few months back.
"I can't say what it is, but it's definitely cool," Williams promises. "I think we're also gonna breed cats before the shows and sell them at the merch table."
