Last year, the True Blood soundtrack brought us some stellar tunes, including a duet between Neko Case and Nick Cave. Now, the makers of the HBO series have announced that another high-profile duet is on the way, this time featuring Iggy Pop and Best Coast.
The pair collaborated on a tune called "Let's Boot and Rally." It will appear on the show's July 8 episode (titled "Let's Boot and Rally"), and before that, it will premiere on July 5 via the Los Angeles radio station KCRW.
In a press release, Iggy Pop said, "I've always liked to bite. I guess this makes me a singing vampire, does this mean I have a license to suck? Hi Bethany."
Best Coast frontman Bethany Cosentino added, "What an honour to get to sing with a legend, and for such a fantastic show. What's up Iggy!"
