Toronto R&B dude Ben Stevenson has been fairly quiet since airing his Dirty Laundry on a 2014 EP, but he's back and ready to reveal plans for a his debut full-length.

Cara Cara is due out on September 22 via Culvert Music, and it draws on influences as wide-ranging as spiritual jazz, Brazilian samba and the "glam strut" of bands like T Rex.

The 11-song set features a number of cameos from fellow Canadian music makers, including Daniel Caesar, Project Pablo, Birthday Boy, Joseph Shabason of Destroyer and DIANA, and Matthew Tavares of BADBADNOTGOOD.

The latter appears on the album closing lead single "Honeycola," and you can stream that track down below.

"It was a different kind of experience for me," Stevenson explained in a statement about the forthcoming record. "I was trying to create an environment where everyone could be as comfortable as possible to put a piece of them into this album. I was trying to get this kind of sonic picture with each of them adding their influence to it, and just to have as much fun as possible, which worked out pretty well I'd say!"
