Belle Starr Map Out Canadian Tour, Premiere New Track

Fiddle fanatics take note: Belle Starr are primed to promote their 2013 self-titled album with a Canadian tour.

A press release notes that the trio — Miranda Mulholland, Kendel Carson and Stephanie Cadman — are set to take their strings-and-steps-driven arrangements out on the road, starting out in Calgary next Monday (September 9). By the time Belle Starr makes it out to the Maritimes, they'll be joined on the tour by Australian artist Jordie Lane. The trip caps out in Quebec, and you can see the details down below.

In other news, the band have also just premiered a new folksy instrumental medley dubbed "Piney Woods Gal." According to the press release, the track took shape while Belle Starr were out on the road, and it incorporates a "seamless fusion of traditional and original compositions." Onstage, the medley apparently has Cadman bangin' her heels on any piece of plywood or floorboard she can find.
