Beliefs

"1994"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jul 12, 2017

Toronto duo Beliefs haven't released a full-length since 2015's Leaper, but now they're back with a brand new track called "1994."

Aptly enough given the historical reference in the title, the track serves up some seriously shoegaze-y vibes.

The dark and brooding thump of bass gets balanced out by slightly more shimmery guitars and soft vocals from Jesse Crowe. The other half of the band, noise wizard Josh Korody, adds some dramatic sonic flourishes throughout, making for a hypnotic listening experience.
