Evidently, the beat-maker known as Joel Zimmerman took exception to Arcade Fire's antics at Coachella, when the group gave props to "all the bands playing instruments this weekend." That happened on the first weekend; the following weekend, they parodied Daft Punk with a pair of impersonators.
Zimmerman made some good points in his rant, opining that a computer is a "tool" rather than an instrument and saying, "some dudes devote their lives to instruments, others to electronic composition by cpu, dafuqs yer problem?"
He also took some snarky digs at Arcade Fire, "if i wanna watch real artists perform, id pick the opera before wasting a fucking minute of my life with arcade fire. #do youevenscorebro?" He later added, "inb4 some fucking hipster throws a hackeysack at me."
Read Zimmerman's comments below.
shit to remember: A computer is a tool, not an instrument.

but since some EDM is enjoyable to me, ill go watch them fake it, and enjoy it more than you hate the fact that they cant play guitar.
