Bedouin Soundclash Lose Drummer

Kingston, ON post-ska sensations Bedouin Soundclash have announced that founding drummer Pat Pengelly (pictured, left) has called it quits, pairing the core band down to the duo of Jay Malinowski and Eon Sinclair. So what kind of hot gossip surrounds the break-up? Was it a fight over drugs? Women? Dub plates? Well, no reason is given whatsoever, but an official press release was distributed with the following harmless statement:

"It's been a really amazing few years for the band and so it comes with a heavy heart to announce that drummer Pat Pengelly will be moving on to new endeavours in the New Year. Pat extends his best wishes to Jay and Eon as they continue on in Bedouin. All three are grateful for each other's friendship and contribution to the band, and will continue to support each other moving forward!"

Whatever the case may be, Bedouin Soundclash are forging on, and will apparently be continuing all their announced dates, which include a stop at Guelph's Hillside Inside Festival this February followed by an Australian tour.
