Film weirdo Todd Solondz just upped the ante on his new film, Life During Wartime, adding a collaboration between Beck and Devendra Banhart to the list of songs featured in the film.
According to the Playlist, during the film, actress Shirley Anderson performs an acoustic track that was written by Solondz, but another electronic-lite version of the same song plays during the end credits and is co-sung and co-produced by Beck and Banhart.
Meanwhile, another Banhart song, "Heard Somebody Say," also appears during the film. However, there are currently no plans to release a soundtrack album.
Beck and Banhart recently teamed up for Beck's Record Club cover instalment of Leonard Cohen's Songs of Leonard Cohen, currently being featured on Beck's website on a song-by-song basis.
