Beck Announces 'Morning Phase' Album for 2014 Release
This year, long-running, one-of-a-kind alt pop experimenter Beck has been sharing one-off tracks, with the promise of two albums on the way. Now, we finally get details for the first one.

Beck's latest album is called Morning Phase, and marks his 12th studio LP overall. It's his first full-length since 2008's Modern Guilt, though he did release music for an album's worth of material with Song Reader late last year.

Morning Phase sees Beck working with his usual stable of collaborators, including Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Joey Waronker, Smokey Hormel, Roger Joseph Manning Jr. and Jason Falkner. A press release for the album describes it as "a companion piece of sorts" to Beck's beloved 2002 effort Sea Change.

Though he was thought to be releasing his new material independently, Beck has signed with Capitol Records. Morning Phase is said to be coming out in February of 2014.
