Montreal quartet Beat Cops might not bear a familiar name, but the band's members have certainly crossed our paths before in acts like Priestess, the Stills, Trigger Effect and Breastfeeders. Ahead of their debut album Mean Streets, the group have just shared a new track.
"Hit It Again" is a vintage ripper built on '70s riffing, confident vocals and plenty of dynamics. It doesn't even break the three-minute mark, but the band still finds time for a shredding organ solo halfway through. The song's a solid tailgating anthem, though you may have to settle for listening at your desk until you can hit up a parking lot with some brews.
Jam out to "Hit It Again" below. The song will appear on Mean Streets, which arrives on June 16 via Indica.
Tour dates:
06/16 Montreal, QC - Turbo House
06/19 Saskatoon, SK - Moso Festival
06/20 Regina, SK - The German Club
06/21 Edmonton, AB - Wunderbar
06/24 Calgary, AB - Sled Island Festival
06/25 Calgary, AB - Sled Island Festival
06/27 Vancouver, BC - Hindenburg
