Electronically inlined Brooklyn rock outfit Bear in Heaven released I Love You, It's Cool back in 2012, and they've more recently been dropping hints about a new LP over on Facebook. Sure enough, they've now officially announced Time Is Over One Day Old, which is due out on August 5 through Dead Oceans.
A press release promises that the album will offer the band's usual mix of synthesizers and live rock instrumentation. Despite these similarities, it's reportedly distinct from the rest of the group's output, since "This album is darker at times, louder than their others; it feels personal and direct."
The 10-song tracklist is below. At the bottom of the page, stream the sweeping synth-rock number "Time Between."
"We're setting aside the things that most people focus on [and instead] staking our claim in some ethereal place," frontman Jon Philpot said in a statement. "A lot of shedding, getting rid of layers and pre-conceptions... breaking up with old ways of thinking, old ways of being, starting to look at this thing in a new way and finding something positive."
