Beanie Sigel survived being shot in the torso in New Jersey last month, but the Philly MC had to undergo surgery that removed one of his lungs.
TMZ reports that doctors could not save the rapper's lung, due to the organ apparently being "riddled with fragments from a bullet." Sigel was discharged from AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center over the weekend but is reportedly staying at the Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation in Pomona, NJ, for rehabilitation purposes.
Pleasantville Police are still conducting an investigation on the drive-by shooting, and speaking with persons of interest. The rapper was said to have been walking his kids home from school, with cops believing Sigel was not the intended target.
