Beady Eye Get TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek to Produce New Album

Following the breakup of Oasis, most of the band members (minus Noel Gallagher) reformed as Beady Eye for 2011's Different Gear, Still Speeding. Now, the Liam Gallagher-led British rock band are looking ahead to their next release. While a date has yet to confirmed for the new collection, the group have roped in a noteworthy producer.

In an announcement on their website, the band confirmed TV on the Radio member Dave Sitek as their new producer. Sitek's previous production credits include Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Liars, Scarlett Johansson and a whole lot more.

Recording sessions for the new disc reportedly began yesterday (November 11). Today, Beady Eye retweeted a photo posted by Sitek showing a studio mixing board. This image was presumably shot during the newly launched sessions.

The new album has yet to be titled but is expected out sometime in 2013. We'll have to see whether the band can capitalize on the relative success of Different Gear, Still Speeding, which we praised despite the fact that it failed to live up to Oasis's best work (which, let's face it, would be hard to do).
