Beach House Add Intimate "Installation Shows" to North American Tour
While we already knew about several Beach House performances taking place across North America this spring, the Baltimore-bred dream pop duo have announced that they'll also be playing a series of intimate "installation shows" that will be staged at smaller galleries and alternative venues.

The previously announced club dates will find Beach House performing as a larger ensemble, but the newly revealed series of "installation shows" will only feature founders Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally. The setlists will comprise mainly of tracks from 2015's Thank Your Lucky Stars, 2008's Devotion and their self-titled debut from 2006.

The "installation shows" will take place in the following cities: Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Baltimore, Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and Vancouver.

A statement from the group explains that these intimate shows, which will roughly hold crowds of no more than 200 people, are an attempt to bring fans closer to the Beach House experience. However, it's noted that these shouldn't be considered "stripped-down" performances.

"It has always been difficult to carry the initial moments of creativity that inspire our music through the process of making and releasing a record," the band wrote. "There are many chances along the way for the feeling to get lost. A lot of "bedroom" bands experience this when they get to the studio or the stage. This installation performance is an attempt to elicit this pure, embryonic state of mind for ourselves and our audience."

While it's being teased that these particular concerts could take place at "galleries, arts spaces, community centres, and various alternative venues," the exact whereabouts won't be revealed until a day or two ahead of the shows themselves.

You'll find the date specifics as we know them down below.
