Published Oct 29, 2010For the uninitiated, Lil B is easily the weirdest, most prolific rapper since DOOM had his peak in the mid-2000s. As a member of the Pack, he makes hyphy-influenced rap for mass consumption, and on his own he makes some of the weirdest post-rap music we've ever heard. From Rain in England, an album of freeform rapping over ambient spa music, to his endless amount of mixtapes, B is doing something exciting almost every week. This week, he has "killed hip-hop" while sending out a diss to Kanye West.
"I Killed Hip-Hop" is the name of a track from B's upcoming Trap-A-Holics mixtape titled Red Flame. The song is subtitled "Message to Kanye West," and the message is certainly not a kind one. B spits, "This dude named Hip Hop / He old and his hips rock / He need to get off the block / There's new blood around town." He continues by attacking current industry trends such as 360 deals and overblown record advances. Then, on the chorus, he just repeats the phrase "I killed hip-hop."
The track can be downloaded here or streamed below. Despite the diss, however, Lil B is probably the least of Kanye's worries today. After all, the alleged dick pics of the rapper have hit the Web. Urban gossip site Media Take Out has the pictures, and they can be seen here (very NSFW, unless your work approves of flaccid, famous penises).
