Published Sep 24, 2015Gutterdämmerung isn't the only upcoming film to feature some high-profile musicians. Some other music stars will be crossing over into acting by appearing in the upcoming psychological horror flick BlackGloveKiller from Canadian filmmaker Chris Alexander.
The film will feature Peter Murphy from Bauhaus in a starring role. Another shadowy '80s musician, Skinny Puppy co-founder Nivek Ogre (also of Ministry and the Revolting Cocks), will also star. Ogre has made a number of film appearances over the years, and although Murphy's acting resume is fairly slim, he made a brief cameo in 2010's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
Filming will begin later this year, and Variety reports that the Alexander-penned flick tells of a beautiful, nocturnal predator named Miranda.
Alexander, who has made a couple of horror films in the past (2014's Queen of Blood and 2012's Blood for Irina), explained that BlackGloveKiller "really aims to be a horror film like no other horror film, one that nods to its influence but is still distinctly the product of my own imagination." It's said to be "an erotic, violent fever dream driven by mood, music and atmosphere."
A release date hasn't been set, but given that filming hasn't begun, it's safe to say that it won't be out for a while yet.
