Montreal-based electronic musician Bataille Solaire is about to unveil a new five-track tape called Dolby's ON, and to give you an idea what it holds, Exclaim! is sharing an early stream of the album and giving you the first look at the new video for "Hom Dans La Ville."

A crash course in the "avant-electronics" of the last 20 years, Dolby's ON sends the listener down a sonic spiral of glitched-out, sample-heavy, IDM percussion-driven music. Spaced-out, dreamy composition "Hom Dans La Ville" serves as the closing track, and now Bataille Solaire had paired it with some matching visuals.

The clip features retro-looking, blue-tinged footage of city living — from relaxing on the sand of an urban oasis to tourists snapping photos to a couple of pals hanging out on their apartment patio. There's something unsettling about the sometimes shaky, sometimes too close-up footage, but it pairs well with the glitchiness of the track.

The clip's director, who goes by the name Pascale93, explained the video in the following statement: "It was shot last summer (2014) in Parc Ex (Montreal) with miniDV camera. The main idea was to film Asael walking in streets drinking coffee out of a mug, but it ended up just being him walking not doing anything."

Dolby's ON will be available for purchase here via Mansions and Millions. For now, give it an advanced listen in the player below and keep scrolling to see the video for "Hom Dans La Ville" a watch in the player below.
