Barbie Bankok

The fact that this band has been together for less than two years makes me like them a bit more. The EP is bare bones, but not necessarily in a good way; they lack oomph and the result, unfortunately, is a boring CD, unless maybe you grew up around a lot of hippie jams. With a Ben Lee lilt to this acoustic number, singer Tom Goethals shows his insightful songwriting skills in a tuneful dialogue that remains thoughtful and moving to the last synth chord.
