Bane

'Don't Wait Up' (album stream) / "Final Backward Glance" (video)

Bane's final album, Don't Wait Up, officially drops May 13 through longtime label Equal Vision Records, but the Massachusetts hardcore vets are getting their last goodbyes out a little early via a full-length album stream and a video premiere for closing cut "Final Backwards Glance."

As previously reported, the swan song comes nearly 20 years after the band began and 10 years after their third LP The Note. Recorded produced by Jay Maas (Defeater) in Haverhill, MA, the collection brings out a cross-section of cuts like "All the Way Through," "Non Negotiable" and "What Awaits Us Now" that jump everywhere from mixing tough-as-nails power chords with mosh beats, to high-speed hardcore assaults to more tender, but nevertheless distorted, riffery, oftentimes in the same song.

It all caps with "Final Backward Glance," a seemingly self-referential track mixing all of the above with Aaron Bedard's inspirational closing shouts on the melodic, melancholic backend about living life to the fullest.

Via Alternative Press, you can check out the whole album in the player down below, where you'll also find a concert-shot video for "Final Backwards Glance."
