In March, Bandcamp helped out artists and labels affected by coronavirus lockdowns by waiving its revenue share on purchases for 24 hours, resulting in the platform's biggest-ever sales day. After announcing plans to do the same for May, the site has now revealed it will do the initiative monthly.
Today, Bandcamp announced plans to waive its monthly revenue shares on the first Friday of each of the next three months.
Artists will keep 100 percent of sales proceeds on May 1, June 5 and July 3, for sales made from midnight to midnight PT each day.
