The Balconies Confirm 'Fast Motions' for January Release

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 26, 2013

Toronto pop-rock outfit the Balconies previously planned to release their album Fast Motions this fall, and while that won't come to pass, they've now confirmed that the disc will drop on January 28 through Coalition Music.

This full-length follows the band's Kill Count EP from 2012. The album was produced by Arnold Lanni (Finger Eleven, Our Lady Peace, Simple Plan) and features new drummer Steve Molella.

According to a press release, Fast Motions finds the group continuing to establish their rock sound. The announcement states, "Sweaty, grinding rhythms have never felt this good — Jacquie [Neville]'s explosive vocals and furious fretwork, Liam [Jaeger]'s cascading atmospheric waves, Stephen [Neville]'s thick, driving bass lines, and Steve's quaking rhythms are set to seek and destroy."

The Balconies will support Fast Motions with a few dates in Ontario and Quebec in the new year. The shows will be opened by Say Yes, featuring Alexisonfire's Jordan Hastings. See the schedule below.
