The Balconies Announce 'Kill Count' EP Release Date, Share New Video

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 23, 2012

Back in the fall, Toronto pop outfit the Balconies announced that they would be following up their Kill Count seven-inch with an EP of the same name sometime in 2012. It's now almost a full month into the new year, and the group have now made their plans official: the five-song set will arrive in February.

Their Kill Count EP makes its way to online and physical retailers on February 28 through Coalition/Warner. As can be expected, the single "Kill Count" is the main attraction of the mini-set, and you can check out the brand new video for the cut down below. It was produced by Anna Junger and directed by Alon Isocianu at Reactiv Pictures, who have previously delivered clips for Finger Eleven, USS, Mission District and more.

As previously reported, the EP also features the flip to the Kill Count seven-inch ("Tiger"), as well as re-recorded versions of "Serious Bedtime," "300 Pages" and "Battle Royale," which had previously appeared on the Balconies' self-titled album from 2009.

On top of getting their EP's release date on lock, the group have booked a handful of Ontario-area shows between now and this summer's Edgefest. You can check out the details below.
