Published Apr 13, 2016During a recent live performance in their native Toronto, jazz quartet BADBADNOTGOOD took the time to preview a few new songs from their forthcoming record IV. One of those tracks was titled "Speaking Gently," and the band have now shared the studio version of the album cut.
Highlighted by a twinkling keyboard melody from Matthew Tavares, the track also features a sax solo from longtime collaborators and newly minted band member Leland Whitty, precise drum fills from Alex Sowinski and a groove-heavy bassline from Chester Hansen. Credits in the attached video reveal that the track was produced and engineered by the band themselves, along with the simple message of "IV coming soon."
