Published Nov 07, 2013Red Bull Music Academy has launched a series of mini-documentaries called Sounds Like and the first episode features jazzy Toronto trio Badbadnotgood and funk legend Bootsy Collins.
The six-and-a-half-minute clip starts with Badbadnotgood discussing their artistic process before visiting the bedazzled P-Funk bassist in his Cincinnati studio and talking shop. The best part? Watching Bootsy dance and whoop while the group jam.
Red Bull Music Academy describes Sounds Like as "a series that proves that inspiration reveals itself in unexpected places — and the process is not without its challenges. Set in Toronto, London, LA, Cincinnati and Vienna, Sounds Like... explores the process of capturing or re-examining one's musical goals, whether in a home studio, high-end recording studio, practice room or on stage."
