Bad Religion

Live At The Palladium

BY Sam SutherlandPublished Mar 1, 2006

Despite some awkward shots of lead singer Greg Graffin, where he looks like a dear caught in the headlights (or by ten massive cameras), it's hard to say much about 31 songs spanning the career of one of punk's most important modern practitioners that isn't positive. While a little heavy on material from 2004's The Empire Strikes First, classics such as "Fuck Armageddon" and "Suffer" still make appearances. The interview clips with band members, fans and other musicians, which are interspersed throughout the concert footage, make for a compelling, complete viewing experience, as do the bizarre television clips from 1981 to 1983, included as part of the limited special features on the disc, which show the band at a very different point in their career.
