Since Ryan Hemsworth has become an underground electronic music hearthrob of sorts, it seems only natural for the Halifax beatsmith to dabble with some old-school boy band work via a remix of the Backstreet Boys' 1999 single "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely."
Hemsworth retains some of the flamenco guitar flourishes of the original for his redo, but he boosts the tempo tenfold with a series of deep kick-drum poundings, fast claps and twisting vocal samples. You'll no doubt note he never quite resolves AJ, Brian and, uh, the rest of the band's saccharine hook, but you can sample the track all the same down below.
