On the same day Exclaim! TV hosted Marine Dreams and Grey Kingdom we also recorded a session with Baby Eagle and the Proud Mothers. Ex-Constantines guitarist and vocalist Steve Lambke is the man behind Baby Eagle and a revolving cast of likeminded musicians makes up his backing band, The Proud Mothers.
Spencer Burton of Grey Kingdom is on rhythm guitar while Will Kidman, formerly the Constantines' keyboardist, takes the lead and serves up a killer solo. Ian Kehoe of Marine Dreams bangs the drums and Nick Ferrio plays bass.
This song is "Peace on Earth" off Baby Eagle's Exclaim!-approved Bone Soldiers album. Lambke's songwriting and delivery here feels like a punked-up take on a Dylanesque protest song.
