Published Jul 01, 2014Toronto-based, Vancouver-bred electronic experimenter Babe Rainbow (a.k.a. Cameron Reed) has finally readied his debut LP, Falling Apart. Though it won't arrive until next week, he's shared a stream of the full thing now.
The album stream was premiered via FACT, who also ran an excellent Q&A with the artist. In it, Reed opened up about the emotional trajectory of his music.
He explained that his first two EPs were driven by a sense of "insecurity," saying, "Between then and now, I'm happier, and I've become more secure, but there's always the sense of uncertainty. Change is constant and sudden. Everything is always coming together and coming apart. So though I'm happy, I also feel a sense of melancholy caused by that uncertainty."
