B-Lines

"Holes"

In what may be the most terrifying thing to happen to Vancouver punk rock in a long time, veteran roustabouts B-Lines are playing their last show this Friday (September 11). Before they give us their final farewell, they're giving us something to fill our ears. Namely, a new freebie single called "Holes."

The track, a de facto follow-up to last year's Opening Band LP, is classic, punked-up B-Lines. There's plenty of pop beneath the buzz of Scotty Colin's guitar, here alternating between '80s-era Cali hardcore power chord damage and hooky, Surfaris-esque leads.

Above the cola-fuelled crash-and-bang, Ryan Dyck tries to figure out his place in the world. Whether he's got it all figured out is unclear, but throwing fingers in his eyes, nose and mouth seem to help a bit.

Clear your ears from the chatter of the outside world and give "Holes" a spin down below.

As previously reported, B-Lines' final show takes place September 11 at Vancouver's Hindenburg.
