Leave it to Azealia Banks to turn an apology into an unhinged smackdown of someone else. While attempting to make her peace with Lizzo, the rapper had some choice words for Busta Rhymes seemingly out of nowhere.
Earlier this week, Banks took to her Instagram story to apologize for some comments she made about the controversial flautist in 2019. Regardless of how you feel about Lizzo, it's safe to say this apology is deserved, as Banks is quoted as saying, "Lmao the fact that the public and the media has been keeping this fat girl joke going for so long is honestly peak boredom."
We feel no such sympathy for known homophobe Busta Rhymes, who subsequently got torn apart by Banks in a series of words that have never been strung together before — making many Exclaim! staffers cackle-sob when this writer read it out loud at the office. The poetry reads as follows:
