Published Mar 28, 2012Azealia Banks recently signed with Universal and named her forthcoming album Broke with Expensive Taste, but before we hear that debut LP, we'll get a new EP. The buzzed-about rapper tweeted that her 1991 EP will be out on April 17.
Banks announced last Friday (March 23) that her upcoming EP would include two new cuts: "1991" and "Grand Prix." It's unclear whether these are the only two songs on the collection (making it more of a single than an EP), or if the new material will be padded with some older tunes.
Certainly, there's no shortage of new material, since Banks has some high-profile collaborations in the works that may appear on this or other releases. Yesterday (March 27), she wrote, "!!!!!! Aaaaaaaahhhh!!!! LMFAOO I just got a Kanye west beat. I'm gassed!", and on Monday (March 26), revealed, "Up working on this Lana Del Rey remix... It's gonna b tight!"
And of course there's her new Diplo-produced track "Fuck Up the Fun," which you can listen to below.
