As promised, Avril Lavigne is giving us her new Head Above Water single "Tell Me It's Over," which has arrived complete with a new video. What's more, she's finally set the release date for her upcoming new album.

Though the video for "Tell Me It's Over" comes with some festive imagery, this is very much a breakup song, as you could most likely tell from that song title.

"I wanted to write something classic and have been inspired by some of the timeless queens I listen to everyday at home, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and Etta James," Lavigne explained in a statement. "They represent women who stand up for women and aren't going to put up with a man's bullshit anymore!"

While we got the album cover and tracklist for Head Above Water late last week, Lavigne has now revealed the new album's release date of February 15.
