Avoid the Elements with Cold Souls, Big River Man, Motherhood and More in This Week's DVD Review Round-Up
With this winter weather still bearing down on us, you'd be wise to avoid the elements all together and stay indoors with a movie or two this weekend. As always, Exclaim! has gone through the week's top new releases in our Recently Reviewed motion section to help you make some wise choices.

Motherhood, a day-in-the-life dramedy starring Uma Thurman is out on DVD, as is Couples Retreat, which stars Vince Vaughn and Jason Bateman as husbands who tackle the woes of their marriages on a tropical vacation.

John Maringouin's documentary Big River Man has also arrived on DVD, and tells the story of Martin Strel, who is both an award-winning athlete and an alcoholic. The Slovenian swimmer treks through polluted bodies of water to raise environmental consciousness, and quests to swim through the Amazon. Another documentary out now is American Artifact, which explores the rise of American gig poster art from the 1960s to today.

Cold Souls stars Paul Giamatti as a fictionalized version of himself, and Nurse Jackie: Season One offers some awesome extras in addition to the hilarious first season of the show.

We also have reviews of music DVDs from Dir En Grey and Acacia Strain, as well as the self-explanatory Pagan Metal: A Documentary.
