A few months ago, a group of like-minded, Edmonton-based hip-hop and electronic artists came together to form an amazingly named collective — the Macaulay Culkin Legacy Foundation. Their latest offering comes as a video from DJ/producer Avenues, and Exclaim! has got your first look the new visuals for "Gone."
Far from what the French call "les incompetents," the clip is a kaleidoscopic mash-up of shots, featuring footage of machines, aerial city skylines, warehouse workers and glowing skies, with separate centred images of electronic gear and forests creating some visual juxtaposition.
The tune itself is a mesmerizing swirl of synths and sounds, and will appear on the 19-year-old's upcoming Beat Tape 1. The mixtape arrives on March 19, and Avenues will be playing an album release show on March 20 at the Chess House in his hometown of Edmonton.
