Published Oct 20, 2014With At the Gates poised to attack later this month via the release of their long-awaited At War with Reality, the Swedish metal unit have now announced they'll be annihilating us IRL this spring on the next Decibel Magazine Tour.
Sponsored by U.S. metal magazine Decibel, the trip will have the reunited melodic death metal titans taking the marquee spot for a 15-date trip crossing both sides of the border. Other heavy hitters attached to the trip include Massachusetts metalcore legends Converge and UK unit Vallenfyre.
Though the tour kicks off in Los Angeles, a Vancouver stop hits the Commodore Ballroom on March 30, with a date in Toronto on April 8 and one in Montreal on April 9.
You'll find the show schedule down below. A tour poster (see above) designed by Converge vocalist Jacob Bannon notes that the tour will feature other special guests.
As previously reported, At War with Reality, At the Gates' first album since 1995's Slaughter of the Soul, drops October 28 via Century Media. You'll find the recently released video for the set's "Death and the Labyrinth" beneath the show info.
Also of note, this will be the first North American tour for Vallenfyre, a metal supergroup including At the Gates drummer Adrian Erlandsson and members of Paradise Lost and My Dying Bride. The band released their sophomore LP, Splinters, earlier in 2014.
Converge are still supporting their Exclaim!-favourited 2012 effort, All We Love We Leave Behind.
