While At the Gates' promo run behind 2014 reunion LP At War with Reality has offered up some dark and symbolic music videos, the band are keeping it relatively straight forward with their latest clip, a concert-shot spot for "The Book of Sand (The Abomination)." While thematically simpler, the act are still ripping it up onstage.
The video was shot earlier this month at Romania's Rockstadt Extreme Fest, and finds the veteran act pleasing a crowd of thousands with their whipcrack thrash beats, Swede-style melodic death metal licks and plenty of sweaty onstage aggression. They're paid back in kind with plenty of pumped fists and an ambitious, inflatable raft-assisted crowd surfing journey.
