Asobi Seksu Announce North American Tour, Play Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Dec 1, 2010

Earlier this month, we found out that NYC shoegazers Asobi Seksu were prepping the release of their fourth LP, Fluorescence. The outfit unveiled one track, "Trails," which fit in gloriously amongst their dreamy, though overly distorted, back catalogue. No other cuts have been released from the set, which is due out February 15 on Polyvinyl, but the label promises the outing will be just as bold as the warped warmth of "Trails."

While we wait, Asobi Seksu fans can comfort themselves with the announcement that the band will be hitting the road in February to support Fluorescence.

A North American tour is scheduled for early next year, with Canadian stops planned for Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. The overdriven pop outfit will be bringing along a number of indie upstarts, including Montreal electro-organic enthusiasts Braids and NYC sock-hoppers Cults. Check out the tour dates below.
