Published Jun 21, 2013Acclaimed Canadian indie label Arts & Crafts is currently celebrating its tenth anniversary. It's already released a collaborative covers album and hosted both a day-long music festival and a short story fiction contest, among other celebratory activities. Now, label co-founder Jeffrey Remedios has sat down with the Red Bull Music Academy to explain how the label got to where it is in the first place.
Speaking with RBMA Radio as part of their Fireside Chat series, Remedios delves into the label's history, talking about the early days of Broken Social Scene, taking inspiration from Factory Records, opening up shop in Mexico and what a record label can represent.
