Boston hardcore label Bridge 9 has beefed up its roster with some Windy City talent, having announced Chicago punk supergroup Dead Ending are on-board for an upcoming EP release.
A press release confirms that the band — featuring former Articles of Faith vocalist Vic Bondi, as well as Rise Against bassist Joe Principe, Alkaline Trio drummer Derek Grant and the Bomb/Noise By Numbers guitarist Jeff Dean — will deliver their DE III sometime this April. While the details have yet to be delivered in full, the band's new release will feature five new songs of "no-frills, '80s-influenced hardcore/punk."
In addition to the already stacked lineup of Dead Ending, the EP will also features guest appearances from Stiff Little Fingers' Jake Burns and Naked Raygun's Jeff Pezzati, who is also in the Bomb with Dean.
DE III follows two previous EPs issued by Alternative Tentacles in 2012 and 2013. While song samples have yet to arrive from the upcoming effort, you can check out DE II's no-nonsense, fundamentals-of-hardcore stomp "Ayn Rand Chicken Sandwich" in the player down below.
