Arthur Russell Gets New Tribute Twelve-Inch with New Young Pony Club, Mark E
It's been a good year for fans of late experimental disco pop legend Arthur Russell. Besides the large batch of rarities that were issued on the recent Love Is Overtaking Me compilation, and a previously unreleased track coming out on a seven-inch, released by Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor, it has now been revealed Russell will be getting a new tribute LP.

The record is simply called A Tribute to Arthur Russell and will be dropping via UK electro label Electric Minds on October 30. The twelve-inch record will include a number of British electro artists, including disco revivalists Faze Action, house geek Mark E and Andy Spence of the New Young Pony Club.

Clips from all of the tracks can be streamed here.

Of course, as Russell fans know, this isn't the first tribute to the late, great artist. In 2007, Jens Lekman helmed another tribute collection called Four Songs By Arthur Russell.

Thanks to FACT for the tip.
