Veteran Canadian punk Art Bergmann has announced his latest album, ShadowWalk, which pays tribute to his late wife Sherri Decembrini. It's out September 29 via weewerk, and the singles "Raw Naked Monday" and "A Hymn for Us" are out now.
Decembrini was Bergmann's wife of 31 years, who passed away in March 2022 at the age of 58. According to a press release, the album is said to "capture the darkness, grief and desolation that comes from such a soul-crushing loss, while also offering genuine hope that life will go on."
Recorded at Turtle Recording Studios and IDIO Studio, both in Surrey, BC, the album was produced by Wes Smith and Russell Broom. Bergmann co-wrote many of the songs with poet Patricia Kay, while Bergmann's friend Donna Kerbel wrote one of the songs.
