Arsebreed

Munching the Rotten

BY Greg PrattPublished May 1, 2006

There’s something satisfying about Arsebreed’s style of solidly American death metal. Odd, considering they’re a Dutch band. But they do it well, with a perfect production sound backing them up. Cool death metal riffing, which gets just technical enough to keep things interesting, intertwines nicely with the not-quite out of control drum work. Stupid song titles aside, there’s not much to complain about. Except, of course, for the age-old death metal dilemma: is having nothing to complain about good enough? Don’t you want more? Depends what side of that fence you sit on, but if comfortable death metal that may be a tad past expiry date is fine with you, then sure, go nuts. But if you’re looking for something more, Arsebreed are going to let your down.
