Toronto garage pop duo Army Girls have been making a name for themselves in their local live scene since forming in 2010, and impressed with their Exclaim!-approved 2011 Close to the Bone EP. Now they've hooked up with Fucked Up's Ben Cook (who produced that EP) for a new track titled "Twice."
Featuring Carmen Elle (Donlands & Mortimer, Austra) on vocals/guitar and backed by Andy Smith (Doldrums, Heartbeat Hotel), the pair are quickly carving out their own sound as Army Girls. "Twice" is a jangly indie rock number, which will be released for free via the duo's Bandcamp on May 1, but you can grab the track early here on Exclaim.ca.
Army Girls will be touring with PS I Love You on these recently announced Canadian tour dates.
