Arkells Take Over Toronto's Queen West in "Pub Crawl" Video

BY Allie GregoryPublished Dec 10, 2020

Last month, Arkells shared their first-ever holiday song "Pub Crawl," as an Amazon Original released through Universal Music Canada. Today, the band have shared its accompanying music video, which sees frontman Max Kerman taking over an empty bar in Toronto's Queen West neighbourhood.

Directed by Mark Myers and shot inside DROM Taberna (formerly Tortilla Flats — R.I.P.), the video sees Kerman accompanied by cardboard cutout versions of his bandmates, as well as 2D versions of the Virgin Mary and, the true Queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey, before the whole party moves out into the street.

"Like anything in 2020, making a music video is an exercise in experimentation and creativity," Kerman said of the video. "If I couldn't party with my boys during Pub Crawl, making 50 different life-size cut-outs of them was the next best thing."

"Pub Crawl" marks the band's first new material since releasing Campfire Chords back in August.
