Ariel Pink to Play Vancouver Show After All, Appear on New Holy Shit 12-inch

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Sep 26, 2012

Bad news, Ariel Pink fans: the weird pop posterboy and his Haunted Graffiti have just cancelled their Vancouver show scheduled for tomorrow (September 27) at Rickshaw. There's no word on why Pink and the band axed the show, but refunds are available at points of purchase. And as far as we can tell, his upcoming U.S. shows will go ahead as planned.

UPDATE: According to Ariel Pink's camp, the band's bus broke down in Salt Lake City earlier today, with there being no chance that it will be fixed in time to get to Vancouver.

UPDATE 2: Despise the bus troubles, Ariel Pink has announced the band will make it to Vancouver after all, so all is back on. They released the following statement, "WE ARE THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE THAT OUR CANCELLED SHOW AT THE RICKSHAW IN VANCOUVER, B.C.-- IS BACK ON!! ARIEL PINKS HAUNTED GRAFFITI SINCERELY APOLOGIZES TO THE FANS AND CONCERT-GOERS FOR ANY CONFUSION AND/OR INCONVENIENCE THE INITIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MAY HAVE CAUSED, AND HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE AT THE SHOW AS ORIGINALLY PLANNED".

In maybe some news that will cheer you up, Ariel Pink will appear on the newly announced 12-inch by Matt Fishbeck's Holy Shit project, who on November 6 will release the "You Made My Dreams Come True" single on Fat Possum.
