Arcade Fire's Régine Chassagne Receives Honorary Doctorate from Concordia University

Months after being toasted by the Garbage Pail Kids, the members of the Arcade Fire have a much more prestigious achievement in their ranks. Specifically, the band's Régine Chassagne has been given an honorary doctorate from Concordia University.

Chassagne attended Concordia for a B.A. in Communications, and has now been recognized with a doctorate.

The doctorate was awarded to her on Monday (November 7) for her "commitment to Haiti and her impact on the international music scene."
