Arcade Fire Unveil New Interactive Video, Premiere Anton Corbijn-Directed Clip As Well

The barrage of Arcade Fire info continues, with the Montreal outfit having just unveiled a new interactive video to help support their new "Reflektor" single.

If you head to Justareflektor.com now, you'll be treated to director Vincent Morisset's short film about a young Haitian woman "who travels between her world and our own." It was filmed in Jacmel, Haiti. Note that early on in the reality-bending video for the discofied single, she meets a cloaked character unsubtly dubbed "Verite."

The experience can be synced up between your computer and smartphone, and will let you shine the spotlight on the woman and other characters she meets, as well as create trippy tracer effects across your screen. The band suggest Google Chrome as the best browser to try this with.

As previously reported, Arcade Fire's Anton Corbjin-directed video drops later on tonight (September 9) at 9 p.m., at which time as 12-inch single of "Reflektor" will be sold at participating record stores.

UPDATE: David Bowie has now confirmed that he is indeed on the single.

UPDATE 2: You can now watch the more traditional video for "Reflektor" at the bottom of the page. It was directed by Anton Corbijn.

UPDATE 3: Pre-orders have begun for Reflektor over here. As suspected the record will be a double album, arriving digitally and as two-CD and two-LP physical packages. The band also write on their website that they're preparing for a world tour, which we're guessing will be announced any day now.

The full-length Reflektor, meanwhile, arrives October 29 via Merge.
